Very Good Chocolate Cake

Ingredients:

3/4 cups Butter
4 Eggs (at room temperature)
2 cups All purpose flour
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups Sugar
2 teaspoons Vanilla
1 1/2 cups Milk

Directions:

1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Line and grease baking pan(s).
3. Separate the egg yolks in one bowl and the egg whites in another bowl.
4. Mix the wet ingredients (egg yolks, butter, sugar, milk and vanilla)
5. In a separate bowl mix together dry ingredients (flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder and salt).
6. Whisk and fluff egg whites.
7. Mix together dry and wet ingredients with a mixer. Then fold in fluffed egg whites.
8. Pour mixture into greased pan(s).
9. Bake for 18 - 22 minutes or until the toothpick comes out clean.
10. Once baked, cool completely on wire racks.
11. Once cool then frost and decorate as desired.
